It is the responsibility of the Pine View College Resource Office to guide, counsel, ask questions, listen, recommend, refer, suggest, and inform.  We do not decide, require, command or package.  Decisions about where to apply, what to write about in college essays, whom to ask for recommendations, must belong to the applicant.  In the end it is the individual student who is responsible for completing their applications and meeting deadlines, signing up for and taking standardized tests, and requesting recommendations.   We do not do these things for our students – nor do we believe, should parents.  We strongly encourage students to direct their own search, in partnership with their parents and the Pine View College Resource team.  We view the college search and application process as part of a total Pine View education, involving personal reflections, independent reasoning and informed decision-making.
